Bound Knee Exercise (04:32)
FREE PREVIEW
Stephen Rosenholtz says the Feldenkrais Method can be generalized to other life areas. Students lie on their stomachs with their head facing left. They bend the knees, imagine them tied together, and tilt them to the right side; the hips raise.
Lifting and Tilting (08:42)
Students place their hands below their shoulders and tilt their knees left, looking over their shoulder as they come to neutral. Then, they lift and twist the head and torso with the knees. Eventually, they come to sitting.
Opposite Bound Knee Exercise (03:48)
Students lie on their stomachs with their head facing right. They bend the knees, imagine them tied together, and tilt them to the left side; the hips raise.
Opposite Side Lifting and Tilting (04:01)
Students place their hands below their shoulders and tilt their knees right, looking over their shoulder as they come to neutral. Then, they lift and twist the head and torso with the knees. Eventually, they come to sitting.
Lifting from Stomach to Sit (04:06)
Students twist the torso while lifting from the wrists and tilting the knees. Rosenholtz instructs them to spiral simultaneously from sitting to lying and back to sitting again—a basic form of human interaction. They end the session with walking.
