Ben Fogle and Victoria Pendleton arrive at camp. The Khumbu icefall dominates the landscape. Kenton Cool briefs the climbers about the journey up the icefall to Camp 1.
The team begins climbing in the dark; Fogle and Pendleton reflect on the experience. Ropes and ladders allow climbers to cross deep crevasses. Pendleton is the first to reach Camp 1.
The team acclimatizes and Pendleton recovers from low blood oxygen levels at Camp 1. The team treks to Camp 2 at 6,400 meters. Pendelton's oxygen saturation levels plummet to 28 and the team quickly responds.
The team treks down the mountain to Base Camp; Pendelton suffers from acute altitude sickness. She obtains medical advice from Dr. Sundeep Dhillon before deciding whether to continue the climb. See a preview of the final episode.
